US Coast Guard Cutter Quachita carries guests from their Harrison base to Ross's landing on May 11, 2002
as part of Armed Forces Week Celebration

Page Three

The Coast Guard cutter Quachita at dock in Harrison Bay.

Sr. Chief James Max Evans, BMCS, uses binoculars to check down river as he pilots the Quachita with a guest getting a bird's eye view.

From the deck of the Quachita, the Veterans Dock on the banks of the Tennessee River stands behind VFW Post 4848.  The dock is available for all veterans worldwide.

Crew members of the Coast Guard cutter take a break as the Quachita ties up at dock.

Lines secure the Quachita to the dock at Ross's Landing as the conclusion of the May 11 trip.

The 180-foot Quachita rests at dock overlooking the commemorative marker in the Tennessee River which shows the origin of Chattanooga which was known as Ross's Landing until 1838.  (Photos by Pete Chaney, IPS Features)
