A pot of gold may be at the end of most rainbows, but the Veterans Dock at VFW Post 4848 is at the end of this one.  The post on Riverside Drive borders on the Tennessee River.



Much has been said of armor needed by the military, especially the reservists, fighting in Iraq.  Coffee is in short supply and needed also.  Wayne Harris has a trunk full of gifts donated for his son with the reserve in Iraq.  An employee of Tennessee American Water Company, he received gifts from people at the water company, VFW Post 4848 and others.

Veterans problems were discussed when Dan Johnson (right) visited VFW Post 4848 in Chattanooga and spoke with World War II bomber pilot Ted Bedoit.  A candidate for the mayor's post in Chattanooga and an army veteran himself, Johnson heard Bedoit express the concern that National Cemetery is filling up and another location needs to be found.
