Politics is a rough business.  A candidate puts everything on the line to run.  His or her reputation, good name, family history back to the cradle.  Candidates are exempt from the rules of slander and libel that protect the average citizen.  They are fair game.

With all the risks and dangers involved, it is enough to frighten the average person from seeking office.  This makes it all the more promising to see an intelligent, honest and capable person run for office.

Gerald Webb is such a person.  His candidacy offers to bring to the Chattanooga City Court a judge who has understanding, ability and wisdom beyond his years.  He knows the meaning of hard work, having worked for his education.  His senior year of college he had to commute daily to MTSU in Murfreesboro.  He earned his credentials as a law clerk with City Court Judge Walter Williams, worked with a private law firm and served as an assistant district attorney with Bill Cox in the Hamilton County Attorney General’s office.

City Court deals with people and the community on the most basic level.  It needs a person who is sensitive, capable and fair.  Gerald Webb will bring this to City Court.

We are proud to endorse his candidacy to benefit Chattanooga.
