Gerald Webb, a candidate for City Court judge, will be given a barbecue reception at VFW Post 4848 on Tuesday, July 27, from 5 to 7 PM.  The event is sponsored by Veterans for Good Government which endorses his candidacy.

He will be introduced by Maj. Gen. Bill Raines, USA Retired.  Stuart James, an attorney, will be the master of ceremonies and Bart Crattie, a Chattanooga business man and surveyor, will give the welcome.

Invocation will be given by Mary Anne Wilson, immediate past president of the Tennessee Veterans of Wars Auxiliary.  A World War II paratrooper, Ralph Wilson will lead the color guard to post the colors.

Ted Bedoit will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  He was a pilot for the Army Air Corps in World War II and flew the “hump” in Burma.

Veterans for Good Government is non partisan and supports a candidacy or legislation based on merit without regard to political ties.

Neither VFW Post 4848 nor the national VFW supports or endorses any candidate or political party.
