Veterans Boat Dock
Wilkes T. Thrasher
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4848
Chattanooga, TN

Monuments are built to honor veterans who saved America when they were called in her defense.  Parades are held to recognize them.  Moving ceremonies are held each Memorial Day and Veterans Day to remember those who gave up their health and lives for their country.  Too often, appreciation is shown after they have left us.

Located on the bank of the beautiful Tennessee River which joins waterways to the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico and the world, this post is just a few miles from the river activity of downtown Chattanooga.

The post wants to honor veterans while they are still alive, to show them appreciation for what they have done, with a beautiful boat dock they can enjoy.  Veterans world wide welcome and honored here.

THE BOAT DOCK HAS BEEN INSTALLED,
On AUGUST 31, 2001.
